The (kind of) Ugly Truth (R)

Another romantic comedy for the ages.

Boy oh boy.

Abby (played by Katherine Heigl) is a producer for a metro news station in Sacremento. As her station begins to plummet on the ratings, they turn to Mike (Gerald Butler) to save them. But why?

Mike has is own show. "The Ugly Truth" In this show he clearly explains the truth about how men view women, and what they really want. He then takes calls, shuts them all down, and calls it quits.

Over at the station, another higher up catches a glimpse of his show, so they give him a few minutes of airtime everyday to boost the ratings.

Oh and just for the record. Abby HATES Mike.

The movie provided some good laughs. There was some pretty funny stuff in there, but it never really let up. The not so funny stuff still kept the audience's mood up so they'll be in high spirits throughout the film.

I have a hard time seeing this movie as rated R, especially seeing that Bruno is in the same category. Honestly I think a 15 year old could go see this and find it funny, but there's some mature stuff in there that those 13 and 14 year olds might not understand.

I also don't see why anyone is really coming down that hard on this film about the storyline. Not just about being another romantic comedy, but the fact that they are offended by the general meaning. People walking out on it because they are SO offended?! REALLY!? Jeez if you stayed to the end maybe you'd---

I personally thought it was just about worth the price I paid for my movie ticket.

If you're unsure, I'd say wait for it to hit DVD and rent it. Otherwise, why not, go see it!

"The Ugly Truth" is playing in a theater near you!
